I have been working with the LegalServer case management software platform since 2007 and have assisted more than 60 independent legal services and legal aid organizations with support, implementations, data migration, and staff training. I specialize in system administrator training and support.

  • Build-Together session [$500]: two hours of time to work on the configuration or reporting projects of your choice in your LegalServer site. The rate includes a pre-meeting form so I can prepare for the session plus a recording of the session as a party gift.
  • Comprehensive Site Administrator Training [$5,500]: Series of 2 hour weekly sessions for up to 6 weeks, customized to cover the tools your program needs and performed in your LegalServer site. My site admin training methodology includes best practices for working with non-technical people, support desk project management tips, access to my favorite tech discovery and learning resources, prioritization of customer/client dignity, and other soft skills that are critical to the long term viability and usability of your system and the happiness of your staff. Video recordings of each session provided.
  • End User orientation session [$300-$600] : one or two hour classes performed in your site by module:
    • Intake
    • Case management
    • Timekeeping
    • Outreach and Clinics
    • Pro Bono or volunteer management
    • Report building
  • LegalServer Helpdesk Support plans [$130 to $150/hour]: Available ad-hoc as needed or by capped hours annually. Custom plans and hours cap arrangements are available. Ticket-tracking system usage included.
  • Site Admin Mentoring [$130 to $150/hour]: Similar to the Helpdesk Support plan, but limited only to site administrators. Assistance as needed when your site administrator is tackling complex configuration projects or just needs on-demand resources.

Data Dashboards

Service delivery and operational management systems leave you with a goldmine of data that we can use to improve your understanding of your critical client populations identify any gaps in your services. I can help you build meaningful, insightful, and easy to use data visualizations that can inform your outreach efforts, board of directors, media communications, donor recruitment protocols, and policy-maker advocacy.

I have experience working in Tableau, Power BI, Clicdata, ArcGIS, and other data warehousing and analysis platforms, but can learn and implement any system quickly.

  • Hosted Clicdata dashboards [$170/hour]: In my licensed and scalable system, I can work with you and your existing systems to pull it all together and find the operational or service delivery metrics that are most meaningful.
  • Self-licensed dashboards [$140/hour]: In the licensed software platform of your choice (Tableau, Power BI, Clicdata or others,) we can still pull it all together!
  • ArcGIS mapping [$150/hour]: Did you know that ESRI offers deeply discounted ArcGIS Online builder licenses to qualifying nonprofits? We can overlay your service data onto maps and enrich the data with public census data inside ArcGIS.

Other techy stuff

  • Data conversion and migration assistance [$130/hour]: If you only need help migrating the data from an old to new information system, I can help cut that time and stress. I’ve handled over 75 data conversions into LegalServer from various legacy systems. I can also help with your data munging needs in other relational database platforms.
  • System configuration [$140/hour] EG: WordPress, QualtricsXM or other survey platforms, Salesforce, CRMs, Donor and Volunteer management systems, Quickbooks, Twilio, and Hubspot, among others.
  • Discovery and project management [$140/hour]: Workflow and business process analysis for old or new systems.
  • Vendor selection assistance [$140/hour]: Composing an RFP or otherwise assisting with a vendor selection process.
  • Technical documentation [$120/hour] EG: User guide composition, group presentations, training curriculum development. Always included with full system implementations, new configuration, user trainings, and support desk projects.
  • Website configuration and content creation [$130/hour]
  • Interim or contractual back-office operations [$150/hour or by special retainer arrangement]: I have experience managing accounting systems/AR/AP, VOIP phone systems and hotlines, employee benefits and HR processes, 990 and other tax filings, trust accounts, financial audits, and more. I can help small organizations find the most efficient and cost effective operational systems so they can divert more overhead into client service delivery.
  • Grant management and compliance [$150/hour]
  • Share redacted work plans, samples, ideas, and LegalServer xml files for forms and reports [free]
